Super Mario Bros. 3 is recognized by many as the greatest of the Super Mario Series. But I'd take it a step further and state that Super Mario Bros. 3 is greatest video game of all time. When I first got my Nintendo Entertainment System all the way back in 1988, it came with the original Super Mario Bros game which opened my eyes to what the future held for video games.

I was completely awestruck by this character who would move left to right on my screen and the screen just kept moving. Being that I, and many other children of that time were used to the static screen of platform games such as Donkey Kong and the original Mario Bros, this was nothing short of revolutionary. The sheer scope and magnitude of the video game is what propelled the NES to become the force that it was. Super Mario Bros. ushered in video games that offered an all encompassing experience, which showed throughout the system's reign.

Prior to Super Mario Bros 3 release date, the biggest buzz that was going on in the video game console world was about the next generation consoles. The Super Nintendo and the Sega Genesis commercials were showing bright and crisp graphics, that hadn't been seen in video games outside of arcades. Everything changed the moment after the release of this revolutionary game. People saw that greatness could be achieved with dated technology. As the original Super Mario Bros introduced the future of gaming, Super Mario 3 would be the perfect bookend for the NES console. The game took the formula of what was great about the original and simply perfected it. It was the swan song of a generation. Every single level in each of the worlds was innovative and original. A perfect difficulty level was displayed as you did not have to be wizard on the controller to defeat the game, nor was it a pushover either.

As we live in times where video games are amped up with technological steroids, its hard to find video games that are as pure. With all the arsenals that video game designers have at their disposal, I still haven't to this day found and played a video game that keeps my backside on a couch longer than Super Mario Bros. 3.

Super Mario Bros. 3

3rd installment of the classic platformer game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Multiple levels of fun with Super Mario Bros. 3!
Customer Review: Its a pretty good game.
I like this game a lot but if you played super mario world first you might think other wise about this game. I played mario world then i tried SMB 3 and I got a little annoyed about the saving issue, it takes forever to beat this game with out cheats and there is no saving function. But then again it is a great game with colorful graphics, catchy music, and even more power ups then its Successor.
Customer Review: The best of the NES Mario titles
Simply put, this is the best overall Mario game for the NES. It's perfect for a beginner but also challenging for gamers of all skill levels. It returns to the standard run and jump gameplay after the bizarre Super Mario Bros. 2 and the amazingly fun but impossible to beat original Super Mario Bros. In short, an absolute blast and probably the best overall title for the NES gaming system.

Could it possibly be true, did the real giant in gaming give the OK to lower the prices of their pride and joy the Xbox 360. This is apparently the rumor that has been circling around. Now this could be an attempt to take some momentum from Sony and their PS3 or is it possibly a way to make room for some new innovation that Microsoft has up their sleeve. Either way this will make the Xbox 360 a definite bargain when it comes to purchasing a video game console.

Now begs the question on whether or not Sony will follow suit in lowering their prices on the PS3 and possibly other systems, being their largest competitors with extreme realism in their design of graphics should make this an interesting holiday season for purchasing a console.

Apparently these changes will leave the Xbox 360 Pro version with a jaw dropping price tag of around $299.99. Imagine a great system at an affordable price without giving up any extras.

With the latest news predicting that we could see the new prices take effect as soon as mid September and adding this could be just the beginning. Let's hope that the gaming industry picks up on this trend and ensures excellent consoles at cheaper prices. Allowing consumers the ability to purchase more accessories and maybe even have multiple consoles. This is exactly what every consumer desires, more buying power. With this added empowerment you should definitely shop around.

Where can you find the better deals? Well, lately I've been searching for some new sites and even better buys and I stumbled upon some great deals. I found this to be among the best ways at giving you all the necessities you need for finding a really great video game console for enduring fun and excitement.

July 2008 held E3, the biggest convention in the world where hardware, electronic devices, and game consoles come together in an effort to look back on the past year and to figure out what's in stall for them for the next few months. Most of all, it was in E3 2008 where game developers talked about their previously-released games and the ones they will release soon.

So far, PS3 has been the unanimous vote for having a game lineup which has many players excited. This can be due to the release of Metal Gear Solid 4 last June. This year also saw the release of Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition, which many have been clamoring to buy.

However, Xbox is not to be left behind. This year Fable 2 coming out, the sequel to the game with an amazing storyline and graphics. It looks like Fable 2 will be following fans' expectations and getting better gameplay with wonderful graphics. And there's always the wait Rock Band 2, where even non-exclusive gamers are buying to get the taste of rocking out their favorite songs.

There are still no updates for the use of the Wii Fit, but Nintendo's release for Wii has The House for the Head: Overkill is a transition from the arcade to its home-based console. Nintendo DS also has many lineups, one of them including the anticipated sequel to Phoenix Wright, with the recently released Ace Attorney Apollo Justice.

Some of the game lineups are for multi-platforms, just like the previously PS exclusive Final Fantasy XIII, which will utilize both the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Nevertheless, the 2008 game lineups have been amazing so far, and there are still a few months to go.

Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt (with Zapper Light Gun)

Super Mario Bros.: The classic tale of an Italian plumber smashing bricks and stepping on mushrooms and turtles in order to rescue the princess.--///--Duck Hunt: The basic light zapper game for the NES. Two game modes allowed the player to either shoot ducks with the help of the trusty hound or to fire at clay pigeons.

How many of us have played Syphon Filter - The Omega Strain, online for Playstation 2? Probably a lot of us. Despite all of the reviews that have given this video game a bad rating. There really is nothing bad to say about it with the exception that a lot of the levels could have been used for multi-players. At the start of the game you had the chance to modify a character's looks, uniform and clothing, patches, hats, tattoos and sunglasses which separated you from the rest and gave your character personality.

Once you begin the game there always seemed to be a big use of multi-tasking within the levels sometimes to the point of overkill, But eventually you got the hang of it and got better.
Aside from having to complete a number of tasks that seemed almost impossible, there always seemed to be that inevitable sigh of relief once it was accomplished and then the desire to go on to the next, that is what kept the game interesting. Numerous levels of confusion and action, enemies of all kinds from different backgrounds and experience. Objectives that are added in between game play and to top it off a time limit for each and every level, However the time could run out and and you could still finish the level. There were, though, certain objectives that had in game time frames to complete and sometimes it seemed next to impossible to get everything done in the time given, But still fun.

The online experience was something that was totally different from playing alone. With the help of three other players there were tasks you could finish that could advance you in rank and add weapons to your inventory, Possibly with the addition of ratings and certificates that also helped rank you up with the higher ranked players.

When you first begin the online game play, it seems to be confusing for a moment. Joining a game could be hard at first, since no one knows you or has seen you before. You are not sure of who you are playing with and you are not quite sure of their intentions either. Needless to say it was a great game to play with others once you knew a little bit about them. Having a headset helped greatly. You and the other players could communicate verbally and coordinate a plan of attack for the level you were playing, the other players would assist others at the equipment room, so each character knew exactly what they were going to need for their particular task within the level.
For example, If you were playing on the level "Myanmar"...

Snake would head for the bio case and the flight recorder, while Doc' and Rando placed the explosives, retrieved the laptop, destroyed the satellite dish and killed the leader. Vasbinder would be headed for the crashed airplane to pick up the body. Rando and Doc would then meet up with and provide cover fire for Vasbinder while he carried the body back to the boat. Eventually Snake would meet up with all three and rendezvous with them back to the boat all while providing cover fire for Vasbinder as he carried the body. The level fully completed takes thirteen minutes. In the event that something went wrong, one of the players would inadvertently help another. Now understandably if you were a new player, you would probably see the smallest and most insignificant task until your experience was up to the other players.

The fact that coordination was a big part of the game play, It made it much more exciting and fun to play. Soon after, there became a level of trust between players, Knowing how the other characters played and what their level of experience would bring to the game. Sometimes getting a new player was rough but you always did your best to help them get their ratings and rank where everyone else was. Sometimes making a point to newer players of certain types of collateral incidents within the the game.

Needless to say getting your Ranking from an R1 to a T4 was an extremely long and difficult process, But in the end proved to be worth the time it took.

Occasionally, you had a few loose cannons that would run off and do their own thing within the game but you would try to see past it or send them a message by kicking them out of the game or verbally explaining to them what everyone else was doing. They eventually got the message.
My experience with Syphon Filter - The Omega Strain on a scale of 1 to 10 would have to be a 9, Being there could have been some major improvements by adding a few levels to the multi-player experience than there was.

The online game site for Syphon Filter closed down sometime between March and May of 2008, and from what I understand, not too many people were happy about it. Now granted, the game itself is over four years old and sooner or later it would have eventually closed down. I just have to say I am glad that a lot of the people I played online with got to completely finish the game. And I send out a big "Thanks" to those who helped me. And I hope to see all of you again if and when they unleash Syphon Filter For Playstation 3. Good Luck guys.

I've written articles before about the Nintendo Wii Fit and what it does, how it works, and how it's being used by various groups, but I've never written about a specific person. Ok, well here goes.

I read recently of a chap 43 years of age and just a tad overweight, actually by about 20 pounds, but he said he never used to be. It seems that the older you get the harder it is to keep that weight off and just do a little exercise.

Well, for him using the Wii Fit has not only helped him to lose weight but it has actually helped in changing the chap's mind set if you see what I mean. For example, exercise didn't used to bother him if he did it or not, but nowadays because of his use of the Wii Fit he feels a healthy guilt trip if he doesn't do any exercise on a given day.

You see, with the Wii Fit, it actually tells you how you are doing so you can see your own progress, if any. Now this is what is helping folk push on with their exercises - I for example, can see how I'm doing on my Wii Fit and I want to do better next time. If you used to be able to do just 10 push ups of the push up game, possibly a few weeks later, you might be able to do 30 no problem and this is due to the fact that the Wii Fit is constantly telling you how you're doing which encourages you to do better.

The Bionic Man yet? Not quite there, but you certainly will be better than before, better, stronger, faster.

There has always been an ongiong debate as to which form of gaming consoles offer you the best quality and performance. The main debate being between the use of computers or colsoles such as Xbox 360,playstation (1,2,3),nintendo wii and so forth. Now most gamers will go on and tell you that it is more worthwile to use console systems than computers due to the apparent plug and play ease of use.But lets take a look below at the advantages and disadvantages between computer gaming and console gaming.

1. Installation of Game

One major advantage of the sony, xbox and nintendo console systems is the fact that it is all about plug and play.No need to worry about having to wait 30 minutes to install a 5 gigabyte game on a hardrive with the possibility that there might be compatability issues. This is where console systems have a major advangate over computer systems.

2 Graphics quality

This section is highly debatable. Many people including myself will tell you that the graphics offered by computers for gaming can be far superior to that of sony playstation, xbox and nintendo. This is obviously due to the fact that pc graphics cards like GeForce and ATI have large amounts of video ram which allows games to have sharper images and run faster. And there is always a continous entrance of new and improved graphics cards to the mrket each year. With console systems, you have to make do with what you are given. There is no possibility of upgrading. So the computer probably wins this battle, but then again it is debatable.

3.Performance of Games

Now lets start with the computer. We all know that the performance of your game is directly affected by the quality of your pc.By quality I mean amount of RAM,CPU,Hard Drive size, video card and drivers. The higher your PC specs are, the better the game can look and play. The major disadvantage here is that computers and gaming applications can be prone to viruses, corrupted or missing files and general sluggishness due to cluttered hard drives. The popular console systems like playstation, xbox and nintendo take advantage here in that they have hardly any performance issues apart from the rare freeze (In my experience).

4. Modifications

The great thing about playing games on your computer is that you can make modifications to your game via downloading of patches, add ons or general updates which can possbibly fix and enhance the performance of your game. With console systems however, once again you are stuck with what you have. This is probably no such a great factor because if you buy a particular game, any updated available for computer will not change the game in such a big way.

5. Availability of Games

Lets face it, all of the games that are available on PC are not all available on the other console systems. This again is another great advantage of computer systems.

So there are my five comparisions with the advantages and disadvantages between the two types of gaming platforms.People will agree and some will disagree about those factors and others not ,but at the end of the day you just have to choose the platform which appeals to you the most.Personally I like PC's because of the sharp graphics and wide availability of games, but like I said It's up to you.
